A-PLANT compliance officer Jane Downey is in the frame for a major international award.
Jane is one of 15 women from around the world shortlisted in the ‘Compliance Officer of the Year, Large Sized Company,’ category at the fifth Women in Compliance Awards. She joins other nominees from countries including America, Germany, Malaysia, Poland and Singapore.
The winners will be announced during a gala dinner in London on March 22.
Jane is aligned to A-Plant’s environmental health and safety team, which helped the hire giant achieve a ROSPA Gold Medal Award last year.
Jane said, “I am thrilled to have been nominated for such a prestigious award. Being part of such a highly committed team is amazing and really helps us to all get the company’s message across.”
Chris Ryan, head of performance standards at A-Plant, added hat the firm was “exceptionally proud” of Jane’s achievement. “From day one, I have been impressed with Jane’s capabilities and above all, her tremendous commitment,” he said. “She has already achieved so much; from delivering first class compliance procedural training, to supporting us in reducing accidents and minimising negative effects on the business. We’re exceptionally proud to be part of her journey.”
