Fronius UK will be launching and demonstrating the new Ignis and Artis portable welders at ScotPlant 2024.

With the Ignis 150/180, the firm revealed a stable arc is a reality, even with long grid leads or voltage fluctuations. This ‘robust’ welding system is said to always provides perfect results, even with unstable grids, generator-powered operation, or over a wide operating radius. Fronius explained it makes the Ignis the ‘perfect companion’ on construction sites, for repair and maintenance work in industry and agriculture, and in any private workshop.

The Artis-170/210 generation, meanwhile, features a lightweight and ‘easy-to-handle’ design, weighing in at less than ten kilograms. However, Fronius stated that it offers all the key adjustment options that are otherwise found only on the larger professional TIG systems. The company added that its main focus has been to ensure that the welding system makes the best possible use of the input voltage. This not only makes the Artis energy-efficient, but also ‘extremely reliable and productive’, which will ultimately make your welding experience more enjoyable.

At ScotPlant 2024, Fronius will be live welding on the stand. Application engineers will be demonstrating a range of machines from industrial MIG/MAG machines such as the TransSteel, the multi-process iWave Pro, and portable TIG and MMA machines. Visitors will be able to see the capabilities of the machines on both aluminium and steel and ask experts any questions they have about functionality and applications.

The business will be demonstrating products with stand partner WeldSafe, from who all of its products are available to order.
