SCOTPLANT 2026 got off to a fabulous start as industry leaders unveiled the latest equipment innovations to large crowds at a sun-kissed Royal Highland Centre at Ingliston, Edinburgh today.

Many of the world’s largest construction equipment manufacturers and their local dealers are in the Scottish capital this weekend to showcase their standout machinery, services, and solutions.
The highly anticipated show brings together the entire Scottish plant community in one place to discover products, network with peers, and discuss the hottest topics impacting the sector.
Scot JCB is hosting the Scottish heat of the JCB Operator Challenge during ScotPlant 2026, while a number of firms are using the occasion to launch new equipment to the Scottish market, including Kubota’s 14-tonne U145 excavator, Develon’s Series 9 range of smart crawler diggers, SANY’s 20-tonne SW956E electric wheel loader, a world first SEMIX 100H super mobile concrete batching plant, the CASE 1121G+ wheel loader, and the UK’s first Liebherr LTM 1055‑3.3 telescopic mobile crane.

Molson Scotland has linked up with the Lighthouse Charity to promote mental health awareness during ScotPlant 2026. Elsewhere, Gordons Construction Equipment’s Develon DL320-7 loading shovel wrapped in the late rugby legend Doddie Weir’s tartan attracted a lot of attention on day one of the exhibition. The machine is raising money and awareness for the ‘My Name’5 Doddie Foundation’, which funds research into treatments for MND.

ScotPlant Saturday is traditionally an even busier day. Entry to the exhibition is free. To register, visit www.scotplant.com
