An Aberdeenshire-based concrete manufacturer is now recycling all of its waste materials on site after investing in an MB L200 crushing bucket.

Family-owned Inverurie Precast purchased the bucket from Worsley Plant for use with its Manitou telehandler.

Prior to acquiring the crushing bucket, the firm tipped any waste concrete into its storage yard before sending it to landfill by truck. Now, they are able to take in customer rubble and crush all lumps, meaning it can then be used for hardcore on projects or sold on to other customers.

Jason Adie, director of Inverurie Precast first saw MB’s crushing buckets in action at Bauma four years ago. He commented, “The MB L200 is a great bucket. It does exactly what we need it to do. We’ve never had any issues with it, it’s very heavy duty and I’ve got no complaints!

“It’s helped us add a new revenue stream to our business and we’re pleased that we no longer send anything to landfill.”
