A contender tests his skills in the New Holland competition.

Ewan Irvine is bound for Turin later in the year after winning the Scottish heat of the New Holland Construction Grand Prix by the narrowest of margins.
More than 60 operators took on the skills challenge and it was Ewan, of Peebles firm Graham Irvine and Partners, who took first place with a time of 1 minute 20 seconds, edging out runner-up James Leeming of Cumbria-based TJS Northern Ltd by just one second. He will represent the UK in Italy alongside the winner of the English heat held earlier in the year.
