SCOTPLANT 2026 exhibitors have been flooding social media with praise for the landmark event, held last weekend at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh.

Many companies have been divulging details of deals secured directly at the exhibition, while others have spoken about the excellent conversations and connections that took place as the long-running trade show cemented its reputation as a must-attend event.

Thousands of visitors enjoyed the glorious weather as they took the opportunity to discover the equipment solutions and innovations shaping the future of construction.

Les Aitchison, director at Solway Machinery Sales, described ScotPlant 2026 as ‘without doubt the best show I’ve ever done’. He added, “Fantastic conversations with customers old and new, multiple deals done and hands shook on the day with many more demos and leads to chase up on in the coming weeks.”

Mac’s Truck Sales revealed that Island Forklifts Ltd, based in Northern Ireland, came onto the stand at ScotPlant and bought a truck directly on the day.

Andy Wilson, Kubota construction sales manager at HRN Group, posted that he shook hands on five new deals over the weekend, while ScotPlant debutant LGMG stated that Braddan Plant Hire and McPherson Engineering bought machines during the show.

George Lloyd, MD of Lloyd Ltd, said it was ‘fantastic to see multiple deals done over the course of the last two days’. Elsewhere, SANY UK area sales manager Nathan Donnelly revealed the firm sold a SY20C mini-excavator and SANY breaker to a first-time customer from the north of Scotland.

CTE’s Eddie George said there was so much interest in the firm’s T230 Evo tracked spider that the firm had to keep the unit in Scotland after the show for demos.

Feedback to the show has been overwhelmingly positive.

Liam Buckey from Hird said, “Hand on heart, this has been the best show I’ve been a part of in the last five years. Brilliant conversations, new customers, and great to catch up with some familiar faces too.”

HIROX Attachments dealer John Walker said, “As a HIROX dealer I couldn’t have been happier. Fantastic sunny weather, the busiest stand on the show and plenty of generous customers buying our products.”

Tiltrotator manufacturer engcon also took to social media to thank all the customers who placed orders, while Suresafe Protection revealed they had over 1,000 people across its stand and were still processing everything.

Blue Machinery posted of a ‘highly successful show’, Liebherr’s Lyle Sibbald declared ScotPlant an ‘iconic’ show for the Scottish plant industry, and Lothian DAF described the turnout as ‘absolutely incredible’.

Hitachi territory sales manager Kris McWalter said, “There’s nothing quite like the face-to-face energy of a trade show! The highlight? The sheer volume of insightful discussions we had with customers old and new.”

Gary Milligan of Suction Excavation commented, “What an incredible time at ScotPlant. It was fantastic to connect with so many new faces, meet potential customers, and have meaningful conversations across the weekend. Events like this really highlight the innovation and collaboration driving the plant industry forward.”

Buckhurst Plant Hire returned to ScotPlant this year. The firm posted, “Our team loved showcasing our latest machinery, talking all things plant hire and connecting with the brilliant people who make this industry what it is. Events like ScotPlant remind us why we do what we do: strong relationships, quality kit, and a shared passion for the sectors we work in.”

Fuel Proof said, “That’s a wrap on a fantastic ScotPlant 2026! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Fuel Proof stand – we were certainly in high demand! It was a pleasure catching up with our longstanding customers, and meeting so many new faces interested in our fuel storage solutions. The energy at the show was incredible! A special shoutout to ScotPlant for hosting another stellar event. We’re already looking forward to the next one!”

Worsley Plant stated, “The support, conversations and interest across our stand made it a brilliant few days for the whole team.”

Gordons Construction Equipment commented, “ScotPlant completed again. Great couple of days seeing new and old faces. Thanks to the team for a great effort, very well done. Now on with following up all the enquiries!”

Scot JCB, King Trailers, and Wm Rose were among the exhibitors who declared they’re already looking forward to ScotPlant 2028.
