THE first machines have started to arrive at the resplendent Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh ahead of ScotPlant 2026, which takes place this Friday and Saturday.

Molson Scotland, SANY, Blue Machinery (Scotland), and McHale Plant Sales were among the first exhibitors to despatch impressive equipment to the famous showground, which will be packed with the latest innovations from some of the world’s largest construction machinery manufacturers when the doors open on Friday morning.

A meticulous build-up period is underway ahead of the largest and most important event in the calendar for the Scottish plant industry. Over the next 72 hours, the Royal Highland Centre will welcome a steady stream of machines into position for the landmark exhibition, which this year will feature a record 215 exhibitors.

Some of the first machines through the gates included a Sennebogen 826 G material handler, a Finlay J-1160 crusher, a Kobelco SK130LC excavator, a SANY SY20C mini-digger, a Metso Lokotrack LT200HP mobile cone crusher, and a world-first SEMIX 100H concrete batching plant.

More than 6,600 unique visitors attended the previous ScotPlant in 2024, when the long-running trade event cemented its status as a must-attend show over two incredible days.

Major brands represented this year will include CASE, Develon, Engcon, Hitachi, JCB, Kobelco, Komatsu, Kubota, Liebherr, LiuGong, Magni, Mecalac, Merlo, Metso, Rototilt, SANY, Steelwrist, Takeuchi, Volvo, Wacker Neuson, and many, many more.
