Bunkabin at ScotPlant 2024

BUNKABIN is looking to dine out on the success of its ScotPlant debut with the promise of outdoing its 2024 showing – which saw visitors queuing out the door for tours of the company’s impressive portable accommodation units.

The Oldham-headquartered firm, which has been hiring out portable cabins and units for over 40 years, showcased its Bespoke Diner solution at ScotPlant 2024. The innovation – which features a stylish dining table and comfortable, highquality facilities for construction workers – has since gone on to become one of Bunkabin’s most popular offerings. At the time of recent interview, all 16 were out on hire, with another seven being manufactured to meet demand.

Visitors to ScotPlant 2024 were able to tour the fully setup diner, as well as sleeping units featuring wraparound shelving, a side desk, wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom complete with a mains-powered solution.

Bunkabin is returning for ScotPlant 2026 with business development manager, Benjamin Rothwell, revealing the importance of securing the same stand location on 10th Avenue as last time.

“We’ve booked the same spot,” he said. “That was quite an exciting area – and I don’t think we could’ve picked a better spot where everyone comes in and we caught them on the way out as well.”

Admitting that the last ScotPlant was ‘non-stop’ for Bunkabin, Benjamin revealed the business is looking to outdo that showing by going above and beyond this year.

“We’ll look to do something a bit more entertaining,” he continued. “Maybe bring a canopy or a unit that already has the decals on to make it look like the environment in which it belongs in.

“We like to do something different and allow people to see what the future can hold for living on site. You’ve got to make it a comfortable environment to make it enticing to your employees when hotels and other facilities are available.”
