SANY UK is gearing up for another eye-catching display at ScotPlant following the overwhelming success of the company’s debut at the exhibition two years ago.

Occupying a prominent spot in the main showground, the manufacturer’s appearance in 2022 provided the perfect opportunity for Scotland’s plant sector professionals to familiarise themselves with the brand.

SANY will be back in the same location this year with a line-up featuring the latest excavators, models from the recently launched telehandler range, and an all-terrain mobile crane.

The excavators on display will range from the zero tail-swing SY18U mini – the smallest in the SANY range at 1.8-tonnes – up to the larger 50-tonne SY500H. The crane will be a SAC600E 60-tonnes three-axle all-terrain model, which was launched to the UK market last year.

Brian McGrane, senior sales manager for Scotland at SANY UK, revealed that ScotPlant 2022 was ‘hugely important’ in helping to establish the business in the Scottish market. “That was the first show we’d exhibited at in Scotland,” Brian explained. “It demonstrated the size of SANY and the range of products we offer.

“I think this ScotPlant is going to be just as important because we’re bringing through new models, such as the telehandler range, and it’s a chance for us to show more of the variety of products that we offer. It’s not just the diggers.

“ScotPlant is always a great show because we get to speak to our customers and see them in a more relaxed environment.”

SANY has enjoyed huge success in Scotland over the past two years, dramatically increasing its market share. The company’s machines can now be found on construction sites across the country. Brian added that the rapid growth hasn’t taken him by surprise.

“I’ve not been surprised because I feel the Scottish market is always open to looking at different products, and not as closed off as other markets in Europe,” he explained. “We’ve seen great success over the last couple of years and we’re looking to grow on that year on year.”

SANY will be running an operator challenge during the two days at ScotPlant for those who wish to put their skills to the test.
