HIGHLAND Hammer Hire will arrive at ScotPlant fresh from signing an exclusive Scottish dealership with TABE, a Spanish-based manufacturer of high quality attachments including hammers, grabs and demolition equipment.

Inverness-based Highland Hammer Hire has been supplying a wide range of products since 2014 including hammers, handling grapples, hydraulic mulchers crusher buckets, shears and demolition tools. The firm is also a distributor of ESCO wearparts.

Owner Callum Mackintosh says the TABE deal will have a “massive” impact on the business. “The product is different to everything else on the market due to the way it’s manufactured,” he explained. “TABE is well known in the likes of Africa, South America, Spain (where the head office is based), the Netherlands and Poland. They’re trying to push into the UK now. I’ve got the distributorship for Scotland and my existing customers in England, Ireland and Wales.”

TABE has been manufacturing attachments for the construction, demolition and forestry sector since 1974 and has more than 100 dealers worldwide.

Zuriñe Sáenz, TABE’s sales manager for north Europe said, “Building a partnership with Highland Hammer Hire will enable them to offer its customers the best attachment solution for any particular application. We are very excited about the prospect of working together and feel sure that we can make a positive contribution to the advanced service Highland Hammer Hire offers, which will be advantageous for both companies and for their end users.”

The TABE deal follows a “thriving start” to 2016 for Highland Hammer Hire, with Callum excited about exhibiting at ScotPlant for the first time.

“Business has been very good so far this year,” he added. “We’ve been very busy. We’ve been planning for ScotPlant since booking the stand and we’re very much looking forward to it. We’ll be bringing some very nice bits of kit. The product will speak for itself.”
