TAKEUCHI UK has revealed the TB350R short-tail swing compact excavator has proved ‘very popular’ since its launch last summer.
The company’s first five-tonne short-tail model weighs in at 5,206kg and is the latest 3-Series digger featuring a compact reduced tail from the manufacturer, following the introduction of the TB325R and TB335R models.
The TB350R is designed for comfortable all-day operating with standard features including touchscreen colour monitor, DAB-radio and integrated air conditioner. Takeuchi added the ‘roomy’ cab has plenty foot room and good visibility with all-round LED lighting.
The five-tonne machine has a maximum dig depth of 3,575mm, dump height of 3,945mm, and ground reach to 5,925mm. It is powered by a Stage V-ready engine with 32.4 kW and a four-pump hydraulic system providing a bucket breakout force of 37.3kN.
“Takeuchi continues to design and build excavators that are feature-rich, delivering a unique combination of performance, durability, operator comfort and serviceability,” said Holly Cooke, marketing manager at Takeuchi UK.
The Takeuchi Fleet Management telematics system comes as standard, providing information on machine health vitals and condition, run time (hours) and location, as well as remote diagnostics, scheduled maintenance reminders and customisable alert settings.
The TB350R has a wide-opening rear engine service door and right-side cover that opens overhead for access to daily inspection points. Takeuchi UK is urging customers to look out for more 3-Series excavators in the coming year as the range from 1-15 tonnes continues to expand.
The manufacturer will be back at ScotPlant in April with its operator challenge, hosted by Dave Vickers of Digging with Dave fame. The time challenge contest debuted at ScotPlant 2022 before being rolled out at events across the country including Plantworx, open days, and county fairs.
