FORUS shredder

MOLSON Scotland will be back in the firm’s usual spot at ScotPlant 2026 with a multi-brand line-up that includes two product ranges the company will be showcasing for the first time at a Scottish exhibition: Eggersmann waste processing machines and Merlo construction telehandlers.

Eggersmann are German-designed machines with a portfolio that includes shredders, trommel screens, wind sifters, and windrow turners. On the stand at ScotPlant will be a FORUS F38, a primary slow-speed shredder, capable of producing a sized product in a single pass across a wide range of applications. With high build quality and operational flexibility, Molson expects it to very popular in the Scottish market.

Features include an integrated hook lift bracket, robust tracks for flexible manoeuvrability, reversing rotors to enable the shredding of resilient materials, and a magnetic separator.

James Dodkins, group head of marketing, said, “The reason we chose to go with Eggersmann is that it’s a really good, well built, and well-designed product range. They run their own green waste recycling facilities in Germany, which gives them that full loop of feedback. They can see exactly what’s working and what isn’t, and make the changes needed accordingly.

“We’ve built a great reputation in the waste processing sector. We understand our customers’ applications and challenges, as well as valuing their input and think with Eggersmann that we’ve got a brand partner that will really listen to market feedback from the UK. This is a exciting addition for us and a really comprehensive range of good quality machines coming into the Scottish market.”

Molson Scotland sales director Alistair Murdoch added that ScotPlant will represent the first time that many decision-makers from within the Scottish construction sector will have seen the Eggersmann products – highlighting one of the key benefits of trade shows.

“I’m a show fan, especially when it comes to bringing new products to the market,” he said. “It’s harder to get these products in front of people without shows. It allows the customers to come and feel, touch, look at, and open the doors to see these products for themselves rather than reading about them in a brochure or seeing them on the Internet.

“Eggersmann is a new brand that we’re launching in Scotland. This will be the first time a lot of people have seen the brand and the build quality.

“It’s the same with the Merlo telehandlers: this is the first time we’ve promoted the brand to our customers at a show.”

Molson joined the Merlo construction dealer network in September last year. The portfolio includes telehandlers with lifting capacities from 2.5 to 12 tonnes and lift height capabilities from five to 35 metres. Options include the electric eWorker and hybrid Roto model.

The Eggersmann and Merlo products will be joined by models from Molson’s wider portfolio which includes Kobelco excavators, Thwaites dumpers, Finlay crushing and screening equipment, Sennebogen material handlers, and Ammann compaction equipment.

James Dodkins added, “We have a unique single-source product offering solution. Shows like this allow us to present that and show how all of our product range works together to offer customers the ability to increase their buying power by reducing their supply chain. Specifically to ScotPlant, there’s no other show like this in Scotland. It’s one standout event in Scotland for us.”
